Asphalt Seal Coating

Protect Your Pavement

Sun, water, and our hard Nova Scotia freeze-thaw cycles wear asphalt down from the surface — draining the colour, opening hairline cracks, and letting moisture work its way into the base. Left alone, small problems turn into potholes and costly repaving.

A proper seal coat is your pavement's first line of defence. We clean the surface, fill the cracks, and lay down a fresh protective coat that locks out water and shields against UV — keeping your driveway or lot flexible, dark, and lasting years longer. The result looks brand new and holds up season after season.

How We Work

Our Seal Coating Process

Seal coat is only as good as the prep beneath it. Here's the four-step approach we follow on every job so the protection actually lasts.

01

Clean The Surface

We sweep, blow, and wash away dirt, debris, oil, and loose material so the new coat bonds tight to solid asphalt instead of grime.

02

Fill The Cracks

Existing cracks are cleaned out and filled before sealing, stopping water from seeping into the base where it does the real, expensive damage.

03

Apply Seal Coat

We lay down an even, professional-grade seal coat edge to edge, cutting in cleanly along borders for a sharp, uniform black finish.

04

Cure & Protect

The coat is left to cure fully before traffic returns. We'll tell you exactly how long to stay off it so the finish sets up hard and even.

Worth It

Why Seal Coat Your Pavement?

Seal coating is one of the smartest, lowest-cost ways to protect the money you've already put in the ground. A thin coat every few years does the work of holding off repairs that cost many times more.

  • Protects against freeze-thaw, water & UV that crack and grey out bare asphalt
  • Saves money — sealing costs a fraction of resurfacing or repaving
  • Boosts curb appeal with a clean, rich black, well-cared-for finish
  • Extends pavement life so you get more years out of every driveway or lot

Beat The Elements

Moisture is asphalt's biggest enemy in our climate. A seal coat forms a barrier that keeps water out before winter can freeze it into cracks.

Save Real Money

Repaving a driveway or lot is a major expense. Sealing on a regular cycle protects that investment for a small fraction of the cost.

Instant Curb Appeal

Nothing sharpens a property like fresh black pavement. A seal coat makes a driveway or lot look freshly paved the day we finish.

Good To Know

Seal Coating FAQs

A few quick answers before you reach out — and if you don't see yours here, just give us a call.

How often should I seal coat my driveway?

For most driveways and lots in our climate, every two to three years is a good rhythm — sometimes sooner for heavy-traffic commercial lots. We'll look at your pavement and give you an honest recommendation rather than pushing work you don't need yet.

How long before I can drive on it?

Fresh seal coat usually needs to cure before traffic returns — often 24 to 48 hours depending on temperature, humidity, and sun. We'll give you the exact timing for your job and mark the area off so nobody drives on it too soon.

Do you handle both residential and commercial jobs?

Absolutely. From a homeowner's driveway to a full commercial parking lot, we take on seal coating jobs of every size with the same prep, care, and attention to detail — and every estimate is free.
